The following information is for application to:

步骤1. Take time to understand the process.

步骤2. Complete the CSU application form.

When you are ready to apply, fill out the Cal State Apply 网上申请表格 by the deadlines listed above.

  • The Master of 城市 Planning (MUP) program at 菠菜网lol正规平台 is listed within the online application 在“城市规划”下."
  • The Master of Arts (MA) in Geography is listed within the online application under “地理." 
  • The CSU Application Fee is $70.

步骤3. Submit 信 of recommendation.

Within Cal State Apply you must submit original and signed Letters of Recommendation that come from either your former university instructors, or supervisors who managed you in paid or volunteer work.

  • The Master of 城市 Planning application requires 三个 信.
  • The Master of Arts in Geography application requires 两个 信.

It is highly recommended that at least 一个 letter come from a former university instructor. If this is not possible, ask your letter writers to include an evaluation of your writing, teamwork, and analysis skills. Please follow the detailed instructions. 

步骤4. Submit a well-written statement of purpose.

Within Cal State Apply you will submit a Statement of Purpose (approximately 1.5要单倍行距 typed 页面s) which indicates:

  • How a graduate degree will help you achieve your career objectives and what motivates you to pursue graduate education in your 选择项目.
  • Which semester you are applying (if you have previously applied to the program and are re-applying, please indicate for which semester you previously applied).
  • Your current contact information, including: mailing address, ph一个 number, and e-mail address.
  • Along with your Statement of Purpose, please submit your CV/résumé.

A well-written, clearly structured, spell-checked, grammar-checked and carefully proofread Statement of Purpose will make a favorable impression upon our 招生 Committee members who read them very carefully.

The department offers seven Advanced 研究生 Certificates, emphasizing different focus areas, such as: 经济适用房 and Community Development Finance, Applications of Technology in Planning, Community Design and Development, 环境规划, Geographic Information 科学, 房地产开发, Transportation 及土地用途规划.
