Prescription medication may be purchased at the 学生健康中心 (SWC 130) 药店, which is licensed by the State of California and adheres to all applicable State codes and regulations.

  • Prescriptions from outside physicians can be filled if the medication is stocked by 药房.  
  • Students who purchase supplemental health insurance or have private insurance may submit prescription receipts to their insurance for reimbursement.  药店有 not accept any insurance plans or submit claims.  
  • Students may take prescriptions written by 学生健康中心 clinicians to outside pharmacies for filling if desired.

付款 is due at time of purchase via our SWC患者门户. Charges are typically posted the next 工作日 on the Account Summary Tab.

To refill a prescription originally filled at the 学生健康中心 药店:

  • If there are valid refills (less than 1 year old) available on the prescription, come by or call the 学生健康中心 药店 at 408-924-6115 to request the refill. To decrease waiting time, it is best to call at least 24 hours prior to the next pharmacy 工作日.
  • If there are no refills left on the prescription, you may:
    • Call your prescriber to request a new prescription, or
    • Call 408-924-6115 to ask the pharmacist to contact your prescriber for refill authorization, or
    • Call your prescriber to ph一个 a refill to 408-924-6115 or to fax the refill request to 408-924-6298.

To transfer a prescription from an outside pharmacy to the 学生健康中心 药店:

  • If there are refills remaining at the other pharmacy, call 408-924-6115 or come to the 学生健康中心 药店 with your prescription label. 我们将调用 other pharmacy for the transfer. The transaction should be completed by the next pharmacy 工作日.
  • If there are no refills left on the prescription, you may:
    • Call your prescriber to request a new prescription, or

Disposing of Sharps and Medication

  • A bin is located in front of the 药店 to dispose of sharps. 带上你的利器 to 药房 counter before placing them in the bin. The pharmacy will determine if the sharps are placed in a safe container for disposal or a container will be provided before it should be placed in the bin.
