Welcome to our 2020 研究庆祝活动 virtual event page!

We’re in the midst of a unique 和 challenging period here at 菠菜网lol正规平台—indeed, with our entire nation 和 global community. But although we’ve had to cancel or postp一个 many in-person events—including our annual 研究庆祝活动—we were determined to carry on 和 develop an alternative method for recognizing 和 honoring our student 以及教职工研究人员. Voilà—the virtual event web page you are now visiting.

菠菜网lol正规平台’s 研究庆祝活动 salutes the great research work of both our faculty 成员 和 our students; in particular, we see how our faculty efforts in research, scholarship 和 creative activities (RSCA) directly support the success of our students. 通过 those RSCA endeavors, our students stay engaged in their classes, gain important h和s-on experiences for their careers 和 are better prepared to pursue a degree of higher 教育.

通过 this virtual event website, we can all take great pride in our faculty research successes 和 honorthe achievements of this year’s two Early Career Investigator Award winners, Kim Blisniuk 和 Yue “Wilson” Yuan, 和 the 12 CSU Statewide Student Research Competition 进入者. These, as well as the 90+ Undergraduate Research Grant participating students, can all be celebrated while you learn about their fascinating work 和 projects.

Finally, three creative activities are also showcased, 和 I would invite you to learn more about them: spatial arts lecturer Yvonne Escalante’s exceptional work in developing an 电铸的工作区 on campus; Assistant Professor of Graphic Design Yoon Chung Han’s 人类虹膜计划; 和 the Threepenny Opera performances. All of these projects are just amazing!

We have a world-class faculty 和 student body eager to innovate 和 place their stamp on the world 和 do great things. So while we’re all sheltering-in-place, let’s take some time to celebrate some of the fantastic research, scholarship 和 creative activity our faculty 和 students are involved in year round.
